Ambassador Peck argued against invading Iraq prior to the March 2003 invasion and has been a lively critic of US actions in Iraq ever since. Click here for more information. November 13, 2008 Pierre-Yves Dugua, Economics Correspondent in the United States for the daily newspaper Le Figaro and correspondent for Radio France and Radio France Internationale. February 19, 2009 Majka Burhardt, Mountain Climber and Activist, will discuss Ethiopian Culture and Politics. March 27, 2009 Henrique Salas Romer, who ran against President Hugo Chavez in the 1998 election, will discuss his campaign experiences, the current political situation in Venezuela and US/Venezuela relations. Harvey, Former Deputy Chief of Mission in Jakarta, will speak on God and Society in Indonesia, a vast country with the world’s largest Muslim population.
